Excellent, versatile storage

These pack well in your cabinet, and the seals are watertight. All sorts of sizes for all sorts of stuff. No problems with putting them in a microwave at work - no peeling of the sides or melting of the Snapware. Very satisfied with this product.

Snaps into place

Purchased after Cook's Illustrated gave a positive review and I have been pleased with the product.
I have tested the product with soups, yogurts, meats, and veggies. There have been no leaks, stains or smells that remain after washing. I have used them in my freezer and fridge, but have not microwaved-although it does say that they are safe since they are BPA free.
I wouldn't change anything about thing about the containers, but recommend washing the colored gaskets separately so the containers are fully cleaned.

GR8 INVENTION!

I know Snapware is not the first to come out with this idea. I have more than the 26-piece set, collected from various sources. Some reviewers claim they have broken or splintered. I haven't experienced these problems. I suppose, if dropped, this could happen, though I'm not going to experiment to find out! I don't have a microwave, so cannot say if it splinters. The only problem I have had, is removing salad oils from the containers - it takes a lot of dish soap to do so. I do not have a dishwasher and hand wash everything. Maybe with a dishwasher this does not happen. Overall I think it is an excellent product, sturdy when handling and a good assortment. I preferred smaller containers over larger ones and was happy this was the case. A good investment!

very happy with product

i purchased this set and two other- different sets-i have been happy with the snapware- it goes into the freezer and disherwasher- and continues to perform well- i have only had a month or so so can't say for long term but they certainly perform well and hold up short term- one of the reviews i read was critical of the number of small containers- i like them for portion control, small amounts of left overs- grating onions in bulk and freezing in 1 cup containers, etc.

i also found that when containers are filled with hot food and lid put on immediately a seal like a canning seal can be created.

i upgraded my plastic containers to these because of good reviews and some carpal tunnel, etc issues- these are easier to open and close for me.

fyi- they are not dog proof- my dog opened one with biscuits in it.

Great substitute for those expensive canisters

I buy a lot of food in the bulk section of the grocery store, and measuring amounts out of little plastic bags was getting annoying so I needed storage containers. This set seemed to offer the most bang for my buck so I ordered them. Once you get the hang of how to close them they're awesome! The large ones fit a 5lb bag of flour or sugar and I've found plenty of uses for the smaller ones too. They're dishwasher safe and BPA free too...always a plus.
