This is an amusing desk/office toy that actually illustrates some very intriguing and nontrivial physics principles. The toy is made out of a pendulum and a stand. The pendulum is metallic/magnetic, and inside the stand are several magnets that modify the motion of the swinging pendulum. The motion of the pendulum is modified in an erratic, unpredictable way that in principle cannot be easily predicted form the way the pendulum is originally moved. This is characteristic of chaotic motion, and this toy is a very neat and inexpensive instrument that can be used to introduce someone to the ideas behind the chaos theory. Eventually, the pendulum settles at some point above the rim of the stand. Various parts of the rim are inscribed with several words that can be used as a sort of "decision" for one's actions. I found that certain words come up more often than others, but other than that the pendulum worked fairly well. The build of this toy is fairly solid, although it should be handled with care. Overall, I think this is an amusing and educational office toy that can be a lot of fun for those much needed work withdrawal moments.
